& About Us
I have no lid
Upon my head
But if I did
You could look inside
And see
What's on my mind
And oh, it's you
Upon my head
But if I did
You could look inside
And see
What's on my mind
And oh, it's you
Here you can find out all about us, the two site owners. It's not the most exciting page of the site but feel free to read through it anyway ;)

Why Dave: I was in love with DMB long before I discovered how wonderful Dave truly was. I fell for DMB at the release of Crash Into Me, but this was of course before the dawn of music downloads, so for the longest time I didn’t even know who sang it. Then one day, a few months after first falling in love with Crash Into Me, my dad decided to play Crash (yes, he owned the album and I didn’t even know it), and when Crash Into Me came on, I was ecstatic. I had finally found the mysterious band that played my new favourite song, and I soon set to work familiarising myself with every other song they had to date. My love for Dave specifically began one day when I was rambling on about the band to my father, and he mentioned that Dave was born in South Africa. This intrigued me, so I decided to do a little research on him. What I found was that Dave had every trait that I admire in a man. He’s brilliant, both as a poet and a songwriter, he’s sensitive yet witty, quiet yet warm, modest yet funny. There’s something so tragic about Dave, like you just want to take him in your arms and hug him. I tend to obsess a lot, and most of my obsessions just come and go, but Dave has outlasted all of them.
Other Musical Loves: Coldplay, Goo Goo Dolls, Barenaked Ladies, Our Lady Peace, REM, Jason Mraz, Red House Painters, Counting Crows, The Tragically Hip, The Whitlams, John Gorka, John Mayer, Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Norah Jones, Alanis Morrisette, James Taylor, The Beatles, Elton John, Chopin... this list is much too long and it could be much longer.

Why Dave: I'm a real newbie when it comes to Dave and DMB. It was only a short while ago that Cait and Nikki introduced me to the goodness that is Dave. They were both all excited about Some Devil coming out and in an attempt to understand all the fuss, I asked Nikki to send me over some of Dave's tracks. I can honestly say that it only took one listening and I was hooked. I bought Some Devil as soon as it hit the shelves in Australia, continuedto fall in love with his incredible music and decided to go out and buy some of the other DMB albums. But why the obsession after such a short time, you ask. Well, I really have to credit Cait for that. I have a particular fondness for humble yet brilliant musicians who write gorgeous lyrics (see Tim Freedman as another example), so when Cait started to teach me all about Dave, I became hooked. That's pretty much it. Oh. And he's nice to look at ;)
Other Musical Loves: The Whitlams, Jewel, Ben Folds, U2, Powderfinger, Elton John, Vanessa Carlton, Sarah McLaughlan, The Beatles, Coldplay, The Corrs, Dido, Mozart (my childhood hero), etc etc.
