Peter Facinelli

Dr. Carlisle Cullen will be played by Peter Facinelli in the Twilight movie. Peter was born on November 26, 1973 in Queens, New York into a large Italian-American family in which he had three sisters. He is now married to actress Jennie Garth and together they have three daughters; Luca Bella, Lola Ray, and Fiona Eve. Peter was educated at St. Francis Preparatory High School and later studied acting at the Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School. Both are located in New York. Peter is 5'10" (1.78 m) and, appropriately for his role as Carlisle, he is a vegetarian.

To date, Peter has appeared in several movies including Can't Hardly Wait (1998), The Big Kahuna (1999), Supernova (2000), Riding in Cars with Boys (2001), and The Scorpion King (2002). He has also appeared in several TV shows including Law & Order, Fastlane, Six Feet Under, and Damages.

Elizabeth Ann Reaser

Esme Cullen will be played by Elizabeth Ann Reaser in the Twilight movie. Elizabeth was born on June 15, 1975 in Bloomfield, Michigan. Elizabeth's mother was a homemaker and her father was "an attorney turned restaurateur turned substitute teacher". She had one younger sister and one older sister. She attended college at Oakland University in Michigan for one year before enrolling at the Juilliard School of Drama. She was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts from that school in 1999. Elizabeth is 5' 2½" (1.59 m) and like Peter, the actor who will be playing Carlisle, she is also a vegetarian. It seems appropriate that both the actors playing these two dedicated 'vegetarian' vampires are both real vegetarians themselves.

Elizabeth has appeared in a few movies including The Family Stone (2005), Puccini For Beginners (2006), and Purple Violets (2007). She has also appeared in TV shows including Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Saved, and Grey's Anatomy.
